On 26 January 2025, our chamber music group delivered an intimate performance at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum’s cafe in Ayr, Scotland. Held from 11 am to 12 pm, the event featured a selection of Celtic and folk music, most of which was self-arranged, delighting the audience with the ensemble’s creativity and talent.
The Venue and Setting
The museum cafe provided a relaxed and cosy environment for this special performance. With its warm ambience and inviting atmosphere, the venue allowed attendees to enjoy music in an informal and approachable setting. Visitors paused their museum explorations or enjoyed a cup of tea while listening, making for a shared musical experience that enriched the day.

'The Celtic Suite', composed by Evans Chou for the occasion, reimagines Celtic themes from Scotland and Ireland with fresh interpretations in scoring and harmony.
Evocative arrangements of traditional folk tunes, such as Ashokan Farewell, Herman Beeftink's Celtic Suite for Flutes, and other folk compositions by Evans Chou, showcasing the beauty and emotional depth of Celtic melodies.
Closing with a vibrant arrangement of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, arranged by Teddy Bor, which filled the space with energy and joy.
This carefully curated selection demonstrated the versatility and charm of folk music, resonating with listeners of all ages.
